Suzanne Valadon – an exhibition.
Suzanne Valadon was an incredible artist with a fascinating life story. She started out as a circus performer and an artist’s model in Paris, but her true calling was painting. Valadon broke through the male-dominated art world of the early 20th century with her bold, vibrant works. Her paintings often feature intimate, candid portrayals of women, capturing their strength and individuality.
If you’re in Catalonia this year, you absolutely have to check out the temporary exhibition at the National Art Museum of Catalonia. From April 19 to September 1, 2024, the museum is showcasing over 100 of her works. This is a rare chance to see such a comprehensive collection of Valadon’s art all in one place. You’ll get to experience the full range of her talent and maybe even discover a new favorite artist. Don’t miss it!
