Roberto Bolaño exhibition at the Centre de Cultura Contemporánia de Barcelona

I am sure that almost everybody knows the worldwide famous Chilean writer, Roberto Bolaño’s name. The sad fate writer made immortal stories, like the Night in Chile and the Distant Star.

Roberto Bolaño was born in Santiago de Chile in 1953. He left South America in 1977, he travelled for a while, and after that he established within Spain, where he got married. He started writing because he fed his family. He was 38, when he known he had liver cancer. While he was waiting for the transposition surgery, he wrote all the time, we can say, he running the race with death by his works. Bolaño was one of the most talented Latin-American writers of the young generation. He used tension, life and literature in his works. He had unbelievable self-irony, what just grown as he became more famous. He smoked cigarettes all the time, for example while writing. He gave interview only trough e-mails, because he said, he doesn’t want to say something wrong live.

Those who knows him, or those who just meets him because of our article and like to know more about his life and his work, here is a great chance in one of the most famous Spanish cities, in Barcelona, to do it. In the Centre de Cultura Contemporánia de Barcelona, or CCCB there is a fantastic exhibition of Bolaño’s published and unpublished works, photos, novels, poems between 5 March 2013 and 30 June 2013, so fans could meet better their favorite. The exhibition’s name is “Bolaño Archive. 1977-2003”. Do not miss it!
