What happened at Primavera Sound Festival in 2025
Primavera Sound 2025, held from June 5–7 at Barcelona’s Parc del Fòrum, brought record attendance of 293,000 and featured a bold, gender-balanced headlining lineup: Charli XCX with Troye Sivan, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan—dubbed the “Primavera Powerpuff Girls.” Highlights included Charli’s explosive “Sweat Tour” set, a surprise guest appearance by Chappell Roan performing “Apple,” and Sabrina’s debut of her new single along with a lively cover of “It’s Raining Men.” Throughout the weekend, indie and alternative acts like Beach House, IDLES, Fontaines D.C., LCD Soundsystem, and FKA Twigs delivered standout performances. Caribou kicked things off on opening night, Amelie Lens closed with a massive techno set, while underground artists like Chat Pile, Turnstile, Machine Girl, and MJ Lenderman showcased the festival’s eclectic range.
